1 - Reflection on Previous I Search Experiences, Mon. April 7
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
Labyrinths: A Webquest
Beyond Hamurabi
Roman and Greek Myths
Presidential Candidate
Opinion on the Hittites
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
To me, research means:
finding facts about something that you can use in a report.
developing an understanding/ opinion on that something through those facts.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
One of the most positive research sucesses that I have ever had was doing the Beyond Hamurabi project. I had two great teammates, Ross Davis and Neal Courter, and I felt like we did a good job on our project. We created a bill for the education comittee on foreign languages, and a very similar bill went to Youth Legislature. We had a great time creating the bill, and it defeinitely went down as a success. 2 - Reflection on Webbing Process, Tuesday, April 8
1. I think the webbing process helped me find a topic because:
It let me put my ideas down in writing.
It helped me visually see my options.
It forced me to think of more than one option.
3 - Why I Chose This Topic and What I Know About My Topic, Tuesday, April 8
1. Topic: Superdelegates
2. Why you chose it: Republican race is over, and I never really got what superdelegates were or why they were needed.
3. What you already know about your topic:
Every superdelegate counts as one delegate at the convention.
There are about 800 superdelegates, and you need about 2,000 delegates to win the nomination.
Superdelegates can pick which candidate they want to support.

iii. How genetically close to humans are they?
b. What do studies about orangutangs show...
i. about their problem-solving skills?
ii. intelligence?
iii. learning ability?
c. What do they do in the wild?
i. Do they always live in trees?
ii. What do they eat?
iii. Are they very aggressive?
Note: Topic switched to: orangutan 5 - Reflections on Pre-Notetaking, Wednesday, April 9
1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
The pre-notetaking Activity was very helpful, but I was very frustrated when I was told after English class that I needed to switch topics. This was especially frustrating because I felt that this could have been sugested during flex or Social Studies class, so that the time I spent during english class wouldn't have been wasted. I wouldn't have been too upset with this if I hadn't been packed with homework already. However, I was able to get my thoughts focused on the topic from this activity, and I have gotten myself over it. 6 - Search Log, Thursday, April 10
